A short seed mantra addressing Hanuman, joining his bija syllable ham to the simple salutation namah. Brief enough for repeated japa on a mala, it is taken up for courage, strength and protection, and is recited especially on Tuesdays and Saturdays, the days traditionally sacred to Hanuman.
