कराग्रे वसते लक्ष्मीः करमध्ये सरस्वती ।करमूले तु गोविन्दः प्रभाते करदर्शनम् ॥

karāgre vasate lakṣmīḥ karamadhye sarasvatī |karamūle tu govindaḥ prabhāte karadarśanam ||

At the tip of the hands dwells Lakshmi, in the middle of the hands dwells Saraswati, and at the base of the hands dwells Govinda; so at dawn one looks upon one’s hands.

हिन्दी अर्थ

हाथों के अग्र भाग में लक्ष्मी का, मध्य में सरस्वती का तथा मूल में गोविन्द का वास है; इसलिए प्रातःकाल अपनी हथेलियों के दर्शन करने चाहिए।
