प्रलयपयोधिजले धृतवानसि वेदंविहितवहित्रचरित्रमखेदम् ।केशव धृतमीनशरीर जय जगदीश हरे ॥१॥
pralayapayodhijale dhṛtavānasi vedaṃvihitavahitracaritramakhedam |keśava dhṛtamīnaśarīra jaya jagadīśa hare ||1||
In the waters of the cosmic flood you held up the Veda, acting tirelessly as a boat. O Keśava, who took the form of a fish: victory to you, Hari, Lord of the world.
क्षितिरतिविपुलतरे तव तिष्ठति पृष्ठेधरणिधरणकिणचक्रगरिष्ठे ।केशव धृतकच्छपरूप जय जगदीश हरे ॥२॥
kṣitirativipulatare tava tiṣṭhati pṛṣṭhedharaṇidharaṇakiṇacakragariṣṭhe |keśava dhṛtakacchaparūpa jaya jagadīśa hare ||2||
The earth rests on your vast back, calloused from bearing it. O Keśava, who took the form of a tortoise: victory to you, Hari.
वसति दशनशिखरे धरणी तव लग्नाशशिनि कलङ्ककलेव निमग्ना ।केशव धृतसूकररूप जय जगदीश हरे ॥३॥
vasati daśanaśikhare dharaṇī tava lagnāśaśini kalaṅkakaleva nimagnā |keśava dhṛtasūkararūpa jaya jagadīśa hare ||3||
The earth clings to the tip of your tusk like the mark sunk in the moon. O Keśava, who took the form of a boar: victory to you, Hari.
तव करकमलवरे नखमद्भुतशृङ्गंदलितहिरण्यकशिपुतनुभृङ्गम् ।केशव धृतनरहरिरूप जय जगदीश हरे ॥४॥
tava karakamalavare nakhamadbhutaśṛṅgaṃdalitahiraṇyakaśiputanubhṛṅgam |keśava dhṛtanaraharirūpa jaya jagadīśa hare ||4||
On your lotus hand the wondrous pointed nails tore apart the bee-like body of Hiraṇyakaśipu. O Keśava, who took the form of the man-lion: victory to you, Hari.
छलयसि विक्रमणे बलिमद्भुतवामनपदनखनीरजनितजनपावन ।केशव धृतवामनरूप जय जगदीश हरे ॥५॥
chalayasi vikramaṇe balimadbhutavāmanapadanakhanīrajanitajanapāvana |keśava dhṛtavāmanarūpa jaya jagadīśa hare ||5||
O wondrous dwarf, with your strides you tricked Bali; the water from your toenail purifies all people. O Keśava, who took the form of Vāmana: victory to you, Hari.
क्षत्रियरुधिरमये जगदपगतपापंस्नपयसि पयसि शमितभवतापम् ।केशव धृतभृगुपतिरूप जय जगदीश हरे ॥६॥
kṣatriyarudhiramaye jagadapagatapāpaṃsnapayasi payasi śamitabhavatāpam |keśava dhṛtabhṛgupatirūpa jaya jagadīśa hare ||6||
You bathe the world in the blood of the kṣatriyas, cleansing it of sin and calming its pain. O Keśava, who took the form of Paraśurāma: victory to you, Hari.
वितरसि दिक्षु रणे दिक्पतिकमनीयंदशमुखमौलिबलिं रमणीयम् ।केशव धृतरामशरीर जय जगदीश हरे ॥७॥
vitarasi dikṣu raṇe dikpatikamanīyaṃdaśamukhamaulibaliṃ ramaṇīyam |keśava dhṛtarāmaśarīra jaya jagadīśa hare ||7||
In battle you scatter to the directions the ten heads of Rāvaṇa, an offering pleasing to their guardians. O Keśava, who took the body of Rāma: victory to you, Hari.
वहसि वपुषि विशदे वसनं जलदाभंहलहतिभीतिमिलितयमुनाभम् ।केशव धृतहलधररूप जय जगदीश हरे ॥८॥
vahasi vapuṣi viśade vasanaṃ jaladābhaṃhalahatibhītimilitayamunābham |keśava dhṛtahaladhararūpa jaya jagadīśa hare ||8||
On your fair body you wear a garment dark as a cloud, the colour of the Yamunā that came to you in fear of your plough. O Keśava, who took the form of Balarāma: victory to you, Hari.
निन्दसि यज्ञविधेरहह श्रुतिजातंसदयहृदयदर्शितपशुघातम् ।केशव धृतबुद्धशरीर जय जगदीश हरे ॥९॥
nindasi yajñavidherahaha śrutijātaṃsadayahṛdayadarśitapaśughātam |keśava dhṛtabuddhaśarīra jaya jagadīśa hare ||9||
Ah, with a compassionate heart you condemn the animal killing laid down in the rules of sacrifice. O Keśava, who took the body of the Buddha: victory to you, Hari.
म्लेच्छनिवहनिधने कलयसि करवालंधूमकेतुमिव किमपि करालम् ।केशव धृतकल्किशरीर जय जगदीश हरे ॥१०॥
mlecchanivahanidhane kalayasi karavālaṃdhūmaketumiva kimapi karālam |keśava dhṛtakalkiśarīra jaya jagadīśa hare ||10||
To destroy the hordes of barbarians you wield a sword, terrible as a comet. O Keśava, who will take the body of Kalki: victory to you, Hari.
श्रीजयदेवकवेरिदमुदितमुदारंशृणु सुखदं शुभदं भवसारम् ।केशव धृतदशविधरूप जय जगदीश हरे ॥११॥
