Questions

Do I need a formal degree?

Not always. A degree, a traditional training (pāṭhaśālā, gurukula) or a strong record of teaching are all welcome. What matters is accuracy and the ability to explain clearly.

How are instructors paid?

Course instructors receive a share of the revenue from their courses; live tutors set their rates with us. Terms are agreed in writing before any work starts.

Who owns the course?

You keep the right to your knowledge and your own materials. The licence for publishing the course on Learn Sanskrit is part of the written agreement.

Can I contribute for a few hours a month?

Yes. Proofreading and contributing meanings work well in small, regular amounts of time.
