प्रभुं प्राणनाथं विभुं विश्वनाथंजगन्नाथनाथं सदानन्दभाजम् ।भवद्भव्यभूतेश्वरं भूतनाथंशिवं शङ्करं शम्भुमीशानमीडे ॥१॥
prabhuṃ prāṇanāthaṃ vibhuṃ viśvanāthaṃjagannāthanāthaṃ sadānandabhājam |bhavadbhavyabhūteśvaraṃ bhūtanāthaṃśivaṃ śaṅkaraṃ śambhumīśānamīḍe ||1||
The Lord, master of life, all-pervading lord of the universe, lord of the lord of the world, ever immersed in bliss, ruler of past, present and future, lord of all beings: I praise Śiva, Śaṅkara, Śambhu, Īśāna.
गले रुण्डमालं तनौ सर्पजालंमहाकालकालं गणेशादिपालम् ।जटाजूटगङ्गोत्तरङ्गैर्विशालंशिवं शङ्करं शम्भुमीशानमीडे ॥२॥
gale ruṇḍamālaṃ tanau sarpajālaṃmahākālakālaṃ gaṇeśādipālam |jaṭājūṭagaṅgottaraṅgairviśālaṃśivaṃ śaṅkaraṃ śambhumīśānamīḍe ||2||
With a garland of skulls at his throat and serpents coiling on his body, Death to Mahākāla, protector of Gaṇeśa and the hosts, vast with the waves of the Gaṅgā in his matted hair: I praise Śiva, Śaṅkara, Śambhu, Īśāna.
मुदामाकरं मण्डनं मण्डयन्तंमहामण्डलं भस्मभूषाधरं तम् ।अनादिं ह्यपारं महामोहमारंशिवं शङ्करं शम्भुमीशानमीडे ॥३॥
mudāmākaraṃ maṇḍanaṃ maṇḍayantaṃmahāmaṇḍalaṃ bhasmabhūṣādharaṃ tam |anādiṃ hyapāraṃ mahāmohamāraṃśivaṃ śaṅkaraṃ śambhumīśānamīḍe ||3||
Mine of joy, who adorns the adornments, the great circle, bearing the ornament of ash, without beginning and boundless, destroyer of great delusion: I praise Śiva, Śaṅkara, Śambhu, Īśāna.
तटाधोनिवासं महाट्टाट्टहासंमहापापनाशं सदा सुप्रकाशम् ।गिरीशं गणेशं सुरेशं महेशंशिवं शङ्करं शम्भुमीशानमीडे ॥४॥
taṭādhonivāsaṃ mahāṭṭāṭṭahāsaṃmahāpāpanāśaṃ sadā suprakāśam |girīśaṃ gaṇeśaṃ sureśaṃ maheśaṃśivaṃ śaṅkaraṃ śambhumīśānamīḍe ||4||
Dwelling at the foot of the mountain, with great roaring laughter, destroyer of great sin, ever radiant, lord of the mountain, of the hosts, of the gods, the great Lord: I praise Śiva, Śaṅkara, Śambhu, Īśāna.
गिरीन्द्रात्मजासङ्गृहीतार्धदेहंगिरौ संस्थितं सर्वदापन्नगेहम् ।परब्रह्मब्रह्मादिभिर्वन्द्यमानंशिवं शङ्करं शम्भुमीशानमीडे ॥५॥
girīndrātmajāsaṅgṛhītārdhadehaṃgirau saṃsthitaṃ sarvadāpannageham |parabrahmabrahmādibhirvandyamānaṃśivaṃ śaṅkaraṃ śambhumīśānamīḍe ||5||
Who shares half his body with the daughter of the king of mountains, dwelling on the mountain, ever the refuge of the distressed, the supreme Brahman, worshipped by Brahmā and the others: I praise Śiva, Śaṅkara, Śambhu, Īśāna.
कपालं त्रिशूलं कराभ्यां दधानंपदाम्भोजनम्राय कामं ददानम् ।बलीवर्दयानं सुराणां प्रधानंशिवं शङ्करं शम्भुमीशानमीडे ॥६॥
kapālaṃ triśūlaṃ karābhyāṃ dadhānaṃpadāmbhojanamrāya kāmaṃ dadānam |balīvardayānaṃ surāṇāṃ pradhānaṃśivaṃ śaṅkaraṃ śambhumīśānamīḍe ||6||
Holding skull and trident in his hands, giving their desires to those who bow at his lotus feet, riding the bull, chief of the gods: I praise Śiva, Śaṅkara, Śambhu, Īśāna.
शरच्चन्द्रगात्रं गणानन्दपात्रंत्रिनेत्रं पवित्रं धनेशस्य मित्रम् ।अपर्णाकलत्रं सदा सच्चरित्रंशिवं शङ्करं शम्भुमीशानमीडे ॥७॥
śaraccandragātraṃ gaṇānandapātraṃtrinetraṃ pavitraṃ dhaneśasya mitram |aparṇākalatraṃ sadā saccaritraṃśivaṃ śaṅkaraṃ śambhumīśānamīḍe ||7||
His body white as the autumn moon, delight of the hosts, three-eyed and pure, friend of Kubera, husband of Aparṇā, ever of noble conduct: I praise Śiva, Śaṅkara, Śambhu, Īśāna.
हरं सर्पहारं चिताभूविहारंभवं वेदसारं सदा निर्विकारम् ।श्मशाने वसन्तं मनोजं दहन्तंशिवं शङ्करं शम्भुमीशानमीडे ॥८॥
haraṃ sarpahāraṃ citābhūvihāraṃbhavaṃ vedasāraṃ sadā nirvikāram |śmaśāne vasantaṃ manojaṃ dahantaṃśivaṃ śaṅkaraṃ śambhumīśānamīḍe ||8||
Hara, wearing serpents as a necklace, who roams the cremation ground, the source of being, essence of the Vedas, ever changeless, dwelling in the burning ground, who burned the god of love: I praise Śiva, Śaṅkara, Śambhu, Īśāna.
स्तवं यः प्रभाते नरः शूलपाणेःपठेत् स्तोत्ररत्नं त्विहप्राप्यरत्नम् ।सुपुत्रं सुधान्यं सुमित्रं कलत्रंविचित्रैः समाराध्य मोक्षं प्रयाति ॥९॥
stavaṃ yaḥ prabhāte naraḥ śūlapāṇeḥpaṭhet stotraratnaṃ tvihaprāpyaratnam |suputraṃ sudhānyaṃ sumitraṃ kalatraṃvicitraiḥ samārādhya mokṣaṃ prayāti ||9||
Whoever recites at dawn this jewel of a hymn to the trident-bearer gains every treasure of this world, good children, grain, friends and spouse, and after worshipping in many ways attains liberation.
