mahālakṣmyaṣṭakam
An eight-verse hymn to Goddess Mahalakshmi, spoken by Indra, with a concluding phalashruti on the fruits of reciting it once, twice or thrice daily. It is one of the most widely recited Lakshmi stotras, especially on Fridays and during Diwali.

नमस्तेऽस्तु महामाये श्रीपीठे सुरपूजिते ।शङ्खचक्रगदाहस्ते महालक्ष्मि नमोऽस्तु ते ॥ १॥
namaste'stu mahāmāye śrīpīṭhe surapūjite |śaṅkhacakragadāhaste mahālakṣmi namo'stu te || 1||
Salutations to You, O Mahamaya, enthroned on the seat of Shri, worshipped by the gods; O Goddess holding conch, discus and mace in Your hands, O Mahalakshmi, salutations to You.

हे महामाये, श्रीपीठ पर विराजमान, देवताओं द्वारा पूजित आपको नमस्कार हो; हे शंख, चक्र और गदा हाथों में धारण करने वाली, हे महालक्ष्मी, आपको नमस्कार हो।
नमस्ते गरुडारूढे कोलासुरभयङ्करि ।सर्वपापहरे देवि महालक्ष्मि नमोऽस्तु ते ॥ २॥

हे गरुड़ पर आरूढ़, कोलासुर के लिए भयंकर आपको नमस्कार; हे समस्त पापों को हरने वाली देवी, हे महालक्ष्मी, आपको नमस्कार हो।
सर्वज्ञे सर्ववरदे सर्वदुष्टभयङ्करि ।सर्वदुःखहरे देवि महालक्ष्मि नमोऽस्तु ते ॥ ३॥
sarvajñe sarvavarade sarvaduṣṭabhayaṅkari |sarvaduḥkhahare devi mahālakṣmi namo'stu te || 3||
O all-knowing One, granter of all boons, terror to all the wicked; O Goddess who removes all sorrow, O Mahalakshmi, salutations to You.

हे सर्वज्ञ, सब वर देने वाली, समस्त दुष्टों के लिए भयंकर; हे समस्त दुःखों को हरने वाली देवी, हे महालक्ष्मी, आपको नमस्कार हो।
सिद्धिबुद्धिप्रदे देवि भुक्तिमुक्तिप्रदायिनि ।मन्त्रमूर्ते सदा देवि महालक्ष्मि नमोऽस्तु ते ॥ ४॥
siddhibuddhiprade devi bhuktimuktipradāyini |mantramūrte sadā devi mahālakṣmi namo'stu te || 4||
O Goddess who bestows accomplishment and wisdom, giver of worldly enjoyment and liberation; O Goddess ever embodied as the mantra, O Mahalakshmi, salutations to You.

आद्यन्तरहिते देवि आद्यशक्तिमहेश्वरि ।योगजे योगसम्भूते महालक्ष्मि नमोऽस्तु ते ॥ ५॥

स्थूलसूक्ष्ममहारौद्रे महाशक्ति महोदरे ।महापापहरे देवि महालक्ष्मि नमोऽस्तु ते ॥ ६॥
sthūlasūkṣmamahāraudre mahāśakti mahodare |mahāpāpahare devi mahālakṣmi namo'stu te || 6||
O Goddess gross and subtle, of awesome form, great Power, vast source of all; O Goddess who removes the greatest sins, O Mahalakshmi, salutations to You.

पद्मासनस्थिते देवि परब्रह्मस्वरूपिणि ।परमेशि जगन्माता महालक्ष्मि नमोऽस्तु ते ॥ ७॥
padmāsanasthite devi parabrahmasvarūpiṇi |parameśi jaganmātā mahālakṣmi namo'stu te || 7||
O Goddess seated upon the lotus, embodiment of the Supreme Brahman; O Supreme Sovereign, Mother of the world, O Mahalakshmi, salutations to You.

हे कमल पर विराजमान देवी, परब्रह्मस्वरूपिणी; हे परमेश्वरी, जगन्माता, हे महालक्ष्मी, आपको नमस्कार हो।
श्वेताम्बरधरे देवि नानालङ्कारभूषिते ।जगत्स्थिते जगन्मातर्महालक्ष्मि नमोऽस्तु ते ॥ ८॥
śvetāmbaradhare devi nānālaṅkārabhūṣite |jagatsthite jaganmātarmahālakṣmi namo'stu te || 8||
O Goddess robed in white, adorned with manifold ornaments; O One who abides within the world, Mother of the world, O Mahalakshmi, salutations to You.

हे श्वेत वस्त्र धारण करने वाली देवी, अनेक अलंकारों से विभूषित; हे जगत् में स्थित जगन्माता, हे महालक्ष्मी, आपको नमस्कार हो।
महालक्ष्म्यष्टकस्तोत्रं यः पठेद्भक्तिमान्नरः ।सर्वसिद्धिमवाप्नोति राज्यं प्राप्नोति सर्वदा ॥
mahālakṣmyaṣṭakastotraṃ yaḥ paṭhedbhaktimānnaraḥ |sarvasiddhimavāpnoti rājyaṃ prāpnoti sarvadā ||
The devout person who recites this Mahalakshmi Ashtakam hymn attains all accomplishments and ever gains sovereignty.

जो भक्तिमान् मनुष्य इस महालक्ष्म्यष्टक स्तोत्र का पाठ करता है, वह समस्त सिद्धियाँ प्राप्त करता है और सदा राज्य (ऐश्वर्य) पाता है।
एककाले पठेन्नित्यं महापापविनाशनम् ।द्विकालं यः पठेन्नित्यं धनधान्यसमन्वितः ॥
ekakāle paṭhennityaṃ mahāpāpavināśanam |dvikālaṃ yaḥ paṭhennityaṃ dhanadhānyasamanvitaḥ ||
Reciting it once daily destroys great sins; whoever recites it twice daily is endowed with wealth and grain.

जो प्रतिदिन एक बार पाठ करता है, उसके महापापों का नाश होता है; जो दो बार पाठ करता है, वह धन-धान्य से सम्पन्न होता है।
त्रिकालं यः पठेन्नित्यं महाशत्रुविनाशनम् ।महालक्ष्मीर्भवेन्नित्यं प्रसन्न वरदा शुभा ॥
trikālaṃ yaḥ paṭhennityaṃ mahāśatruvināśanam |mahālakṣmīrbhavennityaṃ prasanna varadā śubhā ||
Whoever recites it thrice daily destroys great enemies; and Mahalakshmi, gracious, boon-granting and auspicious, abides with him forever.
